How does resetting your printer work?
Step 1: Download the WIC Reset Utility
Step 2: Use the WIC Reset Utility to check whether the Waste Tank Counter has actually reached the limit.
To do this, click on “Read waste counters” and check the counter reading in the new window. In the example shown the counter is okay. When the counter reaches 100%, the waste tank is full and a reset is necessary.
Step 3: Buy a WIC Reset Key or use the trial key when the counter reaches 100%.
The trial key allows you to reset the waste tank counter of your Epson printer to 90% free of charge, quickly and easily. This allows you to unlock the printer directly and continue your work. You can find more information about the trial key here.
Step 4: Reset your Epson printer
Click on “Reset waste counters”. A window will then open where you have to enter your purchased WIC Reset Key.
After you have entered your key and confirmed it with “OK”, your printer will be reset. A message appears stating that the Waste Tank counter has been reset.
Step 5: Turn your printer off and on again. From now on the printer is ready for use again.
Important Note:
You can reset the counter reading of your Epson printer with the WIC Reset Key. Nevertheless, the waste tank is already well filled with ink. When the physical capacity limit of the container is reached, the container will quickly overflow.
To avoid this, it is very important that you remove the waste tank and rinse or replace the waste ink sponges.

If your WIC reset key does not work, please follow the following steps:
1. Cancel all current print jobs in the queue.
2. Restart your printer (turn it off and on).
3. Restart your computer.
4. Connect the print to another USB port on your computer and swap the USB cable.
5. Connect your computer to the internet. The WIC Reset Utility must compare the key with an online database.
6. Temporarily disable your antivirus and firewall programs.
7. Remove the Epson printer driver
